These terms govern the use of the content published on focorojo.net. By accessing the site you accept them together with the legal notice, the privacy policy and the cookie policy.
1. Nature of the content
Foco Rojo publishes journalistic case files on corruption cases. Each file separates proven facts from documented but disputed ones and from those lacking support, attributes every allegation to whoever makes it and records the position of the person investigated. The texts serve an informational and public-interest purpose. They are not legal or financial advice and should not be used as the sole basis for decisions.
2. Quotation and reuse licence
You may quote short excerpts from our files, reproduce the figures in the key-facts block and link to any page, always crediting “Foco Rojo” and linking to the original URL. This includes media, researchers, teachers and AI assistants that cite the source. Reproducing complete files, translating, compiling or redistributing them, with or without commercial purpose, is not permitted without prior written authorisation.
3. Prohibited uses
- Presenting our content as your own or removing attribution.
- Altering figures, dates or evidence levels when quoting them.
- Using the case files to harass, threaten or defame the people named.
- Carrying out automated mass extraction that degrades the service or bypasses the site’s robots.txt directives.
- Framing the site or embedding it in a way that hides its origin.
4. Accuracy and updates
We work from public sources cited in each piece and update case files when the status of a proceeding changes. Even so, information may fall out of date between reviews. The last verification date appears in each file’s key-facts block. Foco Rojo does not guarantee the absolute accuracy of the content and is not responsible for decisions third parties take on the basis of it.
5. Right of reply and corrections
People and companies named may send their version or request the rectification of inaccurate data through the contact page. Substantive replies are added to the text with attribution and date. Corrections are published on the same page, indicating what was corrected.
6. Third-party links and content
We link to judgments, official registries and press outlets as a means of verification. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability. Third-party trademarks and names are cited for informational purposes.
7. Comments and contributions
Documents and messages you send us may be used to verify or update a case file. By sending them you warrant that you are entitled to do so. We will not publish your identity without your express consent, unless you act as the public representative of a person or company named.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Foco Rojo is not liable for direct or indirect damages arising from access to the site, from the inability to access it or from the use of the published information.
9. Changes and jurisdiction
We may amend these terms to adapt them to regulatory or site changes; the version in force is the one published here with its date. The terms are governed by the regulations applicable to the owner and any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts, without prejudice to the rights the law grants users.
